I was churning these through my mind during my customary two-hour worry before finally succumbing to sleep. I have no idea about CUS's oeuvre and could only come up with a few that were, at best, terrible jokes. And ones that were funny only to me or after a lenghtly explanation that would render any subsequent punch-line rather a damp squib.

Here's a few:

1) Pregnant woman survives apocalypse, her daughter gets knocked up. - Threads, correct answer from thr0b

2) Suicidal cop finds salvation in an unlikely partner. - Lethal Weapon, correct answer from CUS.

3) Government wages war on drugs, later denies all knowledge.

4) Man fights to rescue his daughter, gains a magical self-repairing Porsche. - Commando, correct answers from Xeethra and Ace.

It does not bode well I've never heard of Threads.

I'm pretty sure 2 is and 4 is And I think 3 is but I'm not sure. If it is then you've piked two I had planned to do. And may still...

There are still a few of these left unsolved.  I know three of them, because I thought them up.  And to me, they're obvious, arguably the third of them is the most cryptic (sorry).  I have no idea about Xeethra's 'absurdly obscure in-joke' or GazChap's final ejaculation.  But I bet one of you must, surely?  In any case, my first one is the oldest one here, and it's looking embarrassingly like I'm going to have to tell you all the answer... and then you'll all hit me.  Come on, one of you has got to get it, surely?  It's easy.
